Point to Point racing is horseracing over fences for hunting horses and amateur riders and is often used as a nursery for future young stars, particularly in Ireland but also in the UK where we are always searching for the next jumps star.

We qualify with the Croome, Worcs or North Coltswold Hunt.

Point to Point races

The main types of races are Club members, Confined, Hunt members, Intermediate, Ladies Open, Maiden, Mens Open and Mixed Open and Restricted.

Runners declare on the day so the normal seven races can be increased if races are split with a gap between races of normally 35 to 40 minutes.

Most races are run over 3m but there are some exceptions over 3m 2f and as far as 4m.

The weight a horse carries depends on age and gender with the topweight being either 12st 5lb or 12st.

There are over 100 tracks that host point to point meetings in a season.
